Dear Friends of Cornell & the Ivies:

Liz Magill was pushed out of the UPenn Presidency as of Saturday, December 9th, 2023.

Per billionaire donor Bill Ackman's update, one Ivy Pres down…..7 to go. CFSA will put together an “Ivy Presidential Scorecard” for all to track progress made toward this critically important university reform.

It has become crystal clear that current Ivy presidents are too wedded to DEI and wokeism to bring sorely needed reforms to US college campuses. Recent antisemitism on campus is the tip of the iceberg. These bureaucrats are wholly captive to their self-made, monocultured, biased on-campus bubbles – and have no idea how to relate to or serve America’s best interests or needs. Most of today’s Ivy presidents have their positions only as a result of discriminatory, compensatory DEI policies. They are “politically correct” appointees made by trustee boards who have been anxious to score “wokeist” points. This is certainly true at Cornell, Harvard, UPenn, and other Ivies. Pushing political activism and ideological indoctrination as their universities' new primary missions, these university presidents owe their positions and their livelihoods to the “Grievance Culture” policies now dominating the Ivy Universities – and, thus, need to be replaced for progress to be made.

THE NEXT CHALLENGE: Who replaces today’s Ivy Presidents? If another “radical woke activist” replaces Magill, nothing good will be achieved at UPenn. The Campus Freedom movement needs a Federalist Society-type appointment list (of the kind used to select judges to SCOTUS and US Courts in recent years) which identifies new college presidential candidates who are equipped and oriented to bring Open Inquiry, Free Expression, Viewpoint Diversity, and Academic Freedom back to elite US universities. It seems ACTA, AFSA, HxA, FIRE, IFS and other educational organizations should start developing a list of such presidential candidate names. Otherwise, the next group of Ivy presidents may be worse than the current crop. Let us all think about this.
